Bald Tires Can Cause A Serious Accident

The wheel was the greatest invention in mankind until sliced bread came around.  Where would we be today without tires for our motor vehicles?  The upkeep of tires is very important for the safety of you and other motorists.

Bald tires can cause a serious accident especially in bad weather such as rain or snow.  Tires without tread can lead to hydroplaning during inclement weather. They may also lead to tires blowing out while the vehicle is being driven on the roadway.  Driving with an improper tread can lead to a dangerous situation for both the driver and those around him.

Have you ever noticed your tire’s tread and how it looks when you have been riding on them for a while?  It is imperative to regularly check the tread.  If you notice half of your tire balding and the other half looks new then you may need to take the vehicle to the mechanic and have your alignment checked.  A bad alignment is a fast way to waste a good tire.  An improper alignment causes a vehicle to favor certain tires so certain tires will work harder than others.  In time, the tire or tires that have been doing most of the work will wear out much faster than the other tires.  Weather could also be a factor in the wear and tear of your tires.  Extreme heat to cold weather can make a tire slowly leak without you noticing until it’s too late.

Proper care for tires can result in longer-lasting tires and fewer expenses replacing and repairing them.  The most important lesson is that it will also be a safer drive for all.
